Empowering Hands, Enriching Lives – Skills Training Week at Bible Baptist Church, Ghana
From 13 – 16 May 2025, Bible Baptist Church was a hive of creativity and learning as we hosted a four‑day Skills Training Week led by four visiting missionaries from the USA. Congregants and neighbors alike filled our grounds to master practical trades that can open doors to new livelihoods:
- Sewing & tailoring
- Catfish farming
- Crocheting & small‑scale knitwear
- Catering & food entrepreneurship
The atmosphere was electric—whirring sewing machines, hands deftly looping yarn, the splash of fingerlings in tanks, and kitchens alive with delicious aromas. Participants left each session with starter kits, step‑by‑step manuals, and fresh confidence to turn these skills into income streams for their families.
We were honored to welcome the Member of Parliament for Madina, Hon. Francis-Xavier Sosu, whose visit underscored the community impact of faith‑based empowerment initiatives. In his remarks, he applauded the church for “building both spiritual and economic resilience.”
A heartfelt thank‑you to our missionary trainers, local volunteers, and every attendee who made the week unforgettable. May the seeds planted—stitches, ponds, and plates—grow into thriving businesses that bless households and advance God’s kingdom in Madina and beyond.
